1/40 My Dwelling Place

Psalm 90 (NCV)

1 Lord, you have been our home
       since the beginning.
2 Before the mountains were born
and before you created the earth and the world,
    you are God.
You have always been, and you will always be.

3 You turn people back into dust.
You say, "Go back into dust, human beings."
4 To you, a thousand years
is like the passing of a day,
or like a few hours in the night.
5 While people sleep, you take their lives.
They are like grass that grows up in the morning.
6 In the morning they are fresh and new,
but by evening they dry up and die.

 7 We are destroyed by your anger;
we are terrified by your hot anger.
 8 You have put the evil we have done right in front of you;
you clearly see our secret sins.
9 All our days pass while you are angry.
Our years end with a moan.
10 Our lifetime is seventy years
or, if we are strong, eighty years.
But the years are full of hard work and pain.
They pass quickly, and then we are gone.

11 Who knows the full power of your anger?
Your anger is as great as our fear of you should be.
12 Teach us how short our lives really are
so that we may be wise.

13 Lord, how long before you return
and show kindness to your servants?
14 Fill us with your love every morning.
Then we will sing and rejoice all our lives.
15 We have seen years of trouble.
Now give us as much joy as you gave us sorrow.
 16 Show your servants the wonderful things you do;
show your greatness to their children.
17 Lord our God, treat us well.
       Give us success in what we do;
yes, give us success in what we do.

The Birth of A Dream

11/06/10

It has been my heart's desire to go into the places and teach/preach the Good News...In fact, this is my lifetime dream. It's still fresh in my mind, when I dreamed of becoming a Missionary/Youth Pastor when I was young... Ohhh...It wasn't just a dream--It was a [covenant] I made with my Father (oooppss...I guess I need another entry for this)..=)

Without any plan of going out after the service, I just found myself hanging around with my ate's (It was supposed to be just the two of them, but plans do change...hehe) weee!
After having our stomach full, we found ourselves sipping in our cups of coffee (yeba!), sharing stories and experiences (a once in a blue moon thingy for the gurls)... hmm... why won't we do this more often??? The girls' talk/date /coffee session (that's how i call it...hehe) has turned out into a birthing of a [dream]! iluv dreams--& to dream (got another list for my book of dreams!)!!! This is not just a dream-- this is something deeper and bigger! A dream and a vision to see people's lives change--to go forth and reach out to them, bringing not the material things that one usually craves for, but something more than that---something [eternal], the "Gift" w/c was offered to us two thousand years ago. We'll bring [hope] to the hopeless, [love] for the unloved (through Him) and the [Message] that everyone needs to hear...

The Place
Kish Island...! Little did I know about the place, since I haven't been there yet. The only thing that comes in my mind whenever I hear this place, is that this is one of the exit points of people from DXB (i just dunno in other ME countries) who are waiting for their employment visa(s). And based from the stories of people who have gone there (and from the news as well), life is not that easy -- some stayed there for just a few days (good for them), some took a month, and others...more than they expect. Worst, many are waiting...in vain.=c Their hope/dream of having a better life has turned out into a hopeless situation, causing some to even end their lives. We can see how desperate these people are. They are in great need---the need for a Saviour, who has promised hope and a good future, and a life eternal (how amazing is that?)...

Enjoying our coffee, plans came up... We are to go in that place... and bring the [Message] to them... This is our calling...This is what we are commissioned to do... and nothing can stop us from fulfilling this dream that God has birthed in us... If not now...when?

With united hearts and one vision, we are now ready...
... to sacrifice what we have to see lives transformed because of Christ...
... to take a step of faith for God's glory...
... to take the flight and go forth into the field...
... to spread our wings & fly into greater heights...

This will not just remain a dream... This is the start of more flights for our missionary work...

Love unfailing
Overtaking my heart
You take me in,
Finding peace again.
Fear is lost in all you are.
and I would give the world
to tell Your story.
'Cause I know that You've called me.
I know that You've called me...
I've lost myself for good
within Your promise.
and I wont hide it... I wont hide it
Jesus,I believe in You
and I would go,
To the ends of the earth
To the ends of the earth
For You, alone are the son of God...
and all the world will see
that You are God...
that You are God...

now...I'm [conceiving]!

fully-loaded Friday! =)

*studying the Book of Acts has inspired and encouraged me more... Paul's Missionary Journey got me on this... haaayzzz...

What's Your Excuse?!?

15When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, "Blessed is the man who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God."
16Jesus replied: "A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. 17At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, 'Come, for everything is now ready.'
18"But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, 'I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.'
19"Another said, 'I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I'm on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.'
20"Still another said, 'I just got married, so I can't come.'
21"The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.'
22" 'Sir,' the servant said, 'what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.'
23"Then the master told his servant, 'Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full. 24I tell you, not one of those men who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.' "
